This Privacy Policy describes how Mold Detection pros collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit molddetectionpros.com (the "Site"), submit a form, call or text us, or use our mold inspection and testing services (the "Services").

1. Who We Are

Mold Detection Pros provides mold inspection, sampling, and laboratory testing services. We do not perform mold remediation. We operate through independently owned and operated locations, including:

Each location acts as the controller of the personal information it collects from its own customers. If you are unsure which location handles your data, contact us using the details in Section 14.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

 

• Name, phone number (including mobile number), email address

• Service address and property details (age of home, square footage, areas of concern)

• Description of the issue you are experiencing, including any photos you send us

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

• Comply with legal, licensing, and insurance obligations, including Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) recordkeeping requirements

4. SMS / Text Messaging

This section explains our text messaging program. Please read it carefully.

4.1 How you opt in

When you submit a form on our Site that includes your mobile number, or when you provide your mobile number to us by phone or in person and agree to be contacted by text, you are opting in to receive text messages from Mold Detection Pros.

 

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

4.2 What messages you will receive

Once you opt in, you may receive:

 

• An automated confirmation or response text sent shortly after you submit a form on our Site

• Conversational, manually sent messages from our staff throughout your inspection — scheduling and rescheduling, technician arrival windows, on-site questions, report and lab result notifications, invoices, and follow-up questions after the job is complete

• Occasional service-related updates or reminders

 

Message frequency varies based on the stage of your job and your responses. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4.3 How to opt out

You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You may also revoke consent by any other reasonable method, including:

 

• Telling our staff by phone or in person

• Emailing us admin@molddetectionpros.com

• Replying with words such as "unsubscribe," "cancel," "end," "quit," or otherwise clearly stating that you do not want further messages

 

After you opt out, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will stop sending texts. We honor opt-out requests promptly and in no case later than 10 business days after receipt. Opting out of texts does not remove you from email or phone contact unless you request that separately.

4.4 How we protect your mobile information

• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

• Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with the messaging platform providers, aggregators, and carriers that are necessary to deliver the messages themselves.

• We may share mobile information with subcontractors and service providers who support our operations — such as customer service, scheduling, or technical support — under confidentiality obligations and only to the extent needed to provide our Services.

• All other categories described in Section 5 exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the Services and to meet legal, licensing, tax, and insurance obligations. Inspection reports, sampling data, and related records are retained in accordance with applicable state licensing requirements — in Texas, TDLR rules require mold assessment records to be retained for at least three years. SMS consent and opt-out records are retained for as long as we operate the messaging program plus at least four years, to document compliance.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted transmission, and vendor confidentiality agreements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Correct inaccurate personal information

• Delete your personal information

• Obtain a portable copy of your personal information

• Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and certain profiling
